Welcome to my personal web site and blog!


This website contains information on my research, teaching and other academic interests and activities.

I am Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the School of Medicine, at the University of Crete, in Greece. 

My research interests lie in biostatistical and epidemiological principles and methods for the design, analysis and reporting of clinical and epidemiological research in acute care hospitals and other healthcare settings, with long-term interdisciplinary research work on healthcare-associated infections, multi-drug resistant pathogens and antimicrobial drugs. 

I teach introductory and advanced topics in Medical Statistics, Epidemiology and Research Methodology in undergraduate programs in Medicine and postgraduate programs in Public Health, Surgical Sciences, and Biostatistics & Health Data Science.
