Associate Professor of Biostatistics

Welcome to my personal web site and blog!


This website contains information on my research, teaching, and other academic interests and activities.

I am an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the School of Medicine, at the University of Crete, in Greece. 

I have over 15 years of experience in the design, data analysis, and reporting of clinical and epidemiological research studies in acute care hospitals and other healthcare settings. My long-term interdisciplinary research work has focused on healthcare-associated infections, multi-drug-resistant pathogens, and antimicrobial drugs. 

I teach introductory and advanced topics in Medical Statistics, Epidemiology, and Research Methodology, in undergraduate programmes in Medicine and postgraduate programmes in Public Health, the Surgical Sciences, and Biostatistics & Health Data Science.
